How does it work?
- Traffic flows normally from the internet to the Data Center. The traffic monitoring system continuously checks for anomalies and triggers analysis on suspicious patterns.
- Once an attack is detected, the traffic is redirected to the scrubbing center.
- The peering router starts to filter and drop traffic based on the rules sent by the traffic monitoring system. This action significantly reduces the amount of malicious traffic that enters the networks. It also offloads malicious traffic from the scrubbing center.
- The rest of the traffic going through the scrubbing center is cleaned and can be safely sent to its destination.
